Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Assistant to join our medspa and wellness practice located in The Woodlands, Texas. This role will assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in both medical and aesthetic environments. Duties Assist with refills of non-controlled substance prescriptions as directed Serve as a scribe during patient consultations, accurately documenting patient information, treatment plans, and provider instructions Complete prior authorizations for medications and procedures as needed Ensure all lab work, medical records, and documents are accurately uploaded and organized within patient charts prior to visits Assist providers during wellness and aesthetic procedures, including room setup, patient preparation, and post-procedure cleanup Perform blood draws/phlebotomy and specimen processing Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient intake information accurately Administer or assist with injections, including IM and subcutaneous injections, as permitted Contact patients following appointments to check on progress and address questions or concerns Educate patients on wellness programs, skincare, treatment plans, and post-care instructions Maintain treatment rooms, supplies, and clinical organization standards Collaborate with the clinical team to provide exceptional patient care and assist with walk-in patients as needed Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required Experience in wellness, hormone replacement therapy, medspa, or aesthetic medicine preferred Strong phlebotomy and clinical assisting skills required Experience with IV therapy, peptides, weight loss programs, or functional wellness is a plus Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control standards Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Professional appearance with a positive, team-oriented attitude Dependable, flexible, and motivated to grow within the wellness and aesthetic industry Benefits Our current benefits offerings include, but are not limited to: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life insurance, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity coverage Voluntary pet insurance discounts Join our team to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients while advancing your career in the medical field!
