In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various medical specialties, including cardiology, neurology and interventional pain management outpatient clinics. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient administrative/scheduling support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine will directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support during emergencies. Maintain detailed records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and accuracy in documentation like ICD coding. Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, verifying insurance information, and supporting medical administrative tasks to streamline clinic operations. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient service in outpatient clinics. Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation. Experience supporting urgent care or emergency medicine environments enhances your ability to respond swiftly during high-pressure situations. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred; additional certifications in X-ray operation or medication administration are a plus. Previous involvement in medical-surgical units or internal medicine practices will strengthen your ability to adapt across diverse clinical scenarios. A background in handling intake procedures for inpatient or outpatient services ensures readiness to meet patient needs efficiently.
