Job Description
Era Dermatology is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team. In this role, you'll work alongside our providers in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology while delivering exceptional patient care. Dermatology experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate with strong medical assisting experience and a desire to learn. Responsibilities Room patients, obtain medical histories, vital signs, and document in the EMR Assist providers with examinations and dermatology procedures Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, wound care, and skincare products Perform wound care, administer injections, apply patch tests, and take clinical photographs Notify patients of pathology and lab results as directed Scribe accurately in the EMR (EMA experience preferred) Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, and laboratory documentation Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and stock supplies Support patient scheduling, answer phones, and provide outstanding customer service Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Professional, dependable, and patient-focused Preferred Dermatology experience Medical scribing experience Experience with EMA or another electronic medical record system CMA certification Why Join Era Dermatology?
