This role offers an opportunity to work in a urology specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with various medical procedures and systems. Prior experience in hospital medicine, urgent care or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. The position involves supporting physicians and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties:
  • Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist during patient examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections following physician orders
  • Support physicians with procedures such as Post Voiding Residuals (PVR), cystoscopes, biopsies, and vasectomies.
  • Monitor patient physiology and respond to emergency situations
  • Manage patient flow within our outpatient clinic, ensuring smooth operations
  • Assist with laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and processing
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
  • Prior experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration
  • Experience working within EHR systems and familiarity with medical administrative support functions
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, measurement, and basic life support
  • Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
