We are an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan county governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior service programs. Weber Human Services is the only organization in the State of Utah providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of its neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Preparing patients for examinations. Taking medical histories. Assisting the Physician during examinations. Explaining medical procedures to Patients. Calling in prescriptions to Pharmacies. Collect laboratory specimens. Sterilize medical instruments. Submitting medical claim forms. Updating Patient files. Scheduling medical tests. Office procedures Referrals Coordinate with frontline staff to track and intake new patients. Stocking supplies.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent. Current Medical Assistant Certification. Proficient with computes, medical equipment, and electronic medical records (EMR). Extensive knowledge of medical insurance billing, collections, verification, and authorization required. Professional, positive, and personal. Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure. Spanish Speaking preferred.
