Job Description

Gadzoom Health is a growing Medical Directorship Group dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients in skilled nursing facilities. We are committed to delivering high-quality services and improving the health outcomes of our patients. Our team consists of skilled professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. We are looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to support our partners' patient populations. The Medical Assistant will work under the direction of two of our Podiatrists to complete administrative and clinical tasks as assigned. The Medical Assistant will travel to different skilled nursing facilities throughout Salt Lake and Davis County to support on-site patient care. This role may have the potential to transition into a full-time position, which will be discussed further during the interview process. Candidates must have reliable modes of transportation to travel to their assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support and Patient Care:
Assist the Podiatrist during on-site visits in skilled nursing facilities by preparing treatment areas, supporting examinations, and assisting with minor procedures. Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and podiatric concerns with accurate and timely care
Patient Treatment and Safety:
Administer medications and assist with treatments as directed and within scope of practice. Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disposing of contaminated supplies, and ensuring a clean, safe clinical environment.
Documentation and Medical Records:
Accurately enter patient information, including vital signs and treatment notes into medical records. Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and adheres to healthcare regulations and facility requirements. Assist with scheduling of treatments and follow-up appointments to patients
Care Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate scheduling and logistics for podiatry visits across assigned skilled nursing facilities Communicate effectively with podiatrist, nursing staff, and patients to support continuity of care and address patient needs Patient Education and Compliance Provide basic patient education on foot care and post-treatment instructions as directed by the podiatrist Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and standards
Candidate Qualifications:
Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant certificate/diploma required Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred Medical Coding experience a plus, but not required Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems: experience with PCC or Gehrimed a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation required Benefits for
