This role assists passengers with mobility needs, ensures their comfort and safety during transit, and provides basic support under the guidance of the driver and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients in boarding and exiting the vehicle safely Provide physical support to passengers with mobility challenges (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) Ensure passengers are properly secured using safety equipment (seat belts, wheelchair locks, etc.) Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment Communicate respectfully with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff Follow assigned routes and schedules Report any incidents, delays, or patient concerns to the supervisor or driver Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Experience in caregiving, healthcare support, or transportation assistance is an advantage Basic understanding of patient safety and mobility assistance Good communication and interpersonal skills Physically able to assist passengers as needed Dependable, patient, and compassionate attitude
Working Conditions:
May require long periods of sitting, standing, and lifting assistance Work involves travel within assigned service areas May include early morning, evening, or weekend shifts
