Job description:
- Greeting patients upon entry to the practice
- Checking patients out upon the completion of their appointment
- Answering phone calls and website inquiries from prospective patients interested in cosmetic or reconstructive surgery
- Educating patients about procedure
- Managing the patient experience and the daily schedule
- Proven ability to handle upscale clientele
- Cleaning common areas in between patients
- Assisting surgeon with patient care, exams, in-office procedures, turning over rooms, etc. as needed
- Stocking and setting up exam rooms as needed
- Taking vitals as needed
- A "can-do" attitude, shows initiative and willingness to adopt to change and cross train
- Experience with practice management software and word processing applications
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Must be on time
- Understanding of efficiency, automation, and patient flow in a medical practice
- Neat, professional appearance
- Able to understand patient concerns and handle them appropriately
- Able to discuss financial arrangements with patients comfortably
- Potentially accompanies the surgeon while he is examining cosmetic patients, if a chaperone if needed
- Maintains patient confidentiality by following the HIPAA Compliance Plan established by the practice; releases PHI in accordance with the practice's HIPAA Compliance Plan, attends regular HIPAA training, maintains data security by refusing to share computer and other passwords, and reports all identified and suspected HIPAA violations to the Privacy Officer
- Performs all other tasks requested by the surgeon or manager
