Job Description

Job Description We are growing Dermatology practice looking to expand our services to accommodate the growing need for medical and cosmetic dermatology services. RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a fast pace environment and be able to utilize technologies such as Apple iPad or PC based desk tops to enter patient information Communicate with pharmacy staff and insurance companies regarding medication prior authorizations. Must posses strong organization skills Prepare the examination room for the patient as well as taking patient vital signs and recording vitals in their EMR Order and stock medical supplies if required Monitor prescription activity, lab specimens and pathology results Administer injections and medications, dress wounds and incisions, provide accurate and consistent information to the patient using an established protocol, interpret provider instructions to patients, assist with emergency and minor procedures, and perform related tasks as directed Obtain prior authorization for both prescriptions and procedures in a timely manner Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment, and maintains stock of supplies and medications Educate patients and instruct on how to take their medications and or manage their surgical wounds Perform a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and follow detailed protocols, including: performing and documenting specified procedures and results Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Any other duties as required by management This position performs a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in a manner that places emphasis on quality of care and customer service. The candidate must work collaboratively with all providers in support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and initiative.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program/Certified Nursing Assistant Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting EHR/EMR experience Efficient multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail Ability to learn and utilize practice specific software Fluent in Spanish - preferred
