In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process Support physicians during examinations, including basic positioning or medication administration under supervision Perform clinical tasks such as wound care, specimen collection, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and recordkeeping Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering instructions on medication use or follow-up care, and maintaining a compassionate demeanor Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant with valid certification from an accredited program Demonstrated experience in pediatric settings preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology essential for effective patient care Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding practices Ability to administer intramuscular and subcutaneous vaccines and medical injections.
