opening for a Medical Assistant to take and record a patient's personal information, including medical history. Additional tasks include sterilizing medical equipment, disposing of contaminated supplies, performing basic laboratory testing, drawing blood, and instructing patients about medications. Check in patients Deliver appropriate customer service, such as follow-up phone calls with patients after procedures, confirmation of upcoming appointments, Take and record patient personal information and medical history Measure patient vital signs Assist physicians during medical examinations Schedule patient appointments Collect and prepare blood samples or other specimens for lab testing Update patient's medical records with test results and vital signs Maintain office and medical supply inventories Verify insurance coverage or financial eligibility Verify pre-certifications and prior authorizations Provide claims, documentation, and billing requests using accurate and up-to-date coding guidelines Ensure document compliance with insurance and government requirements Assist in collecting on current and past due accounts

Qualifications:

2+ years work experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or hospital setting Strong customer service skills Organizational skills, attention to detail Effective verbal skills Working knowledge of

EMR / EHR

software

Preferred:

CMA, RMA or CCMA 2+ years Medical Assistant experience
