Interested candidates please email your resume to contact@credencebh.com Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with experience in prior authorizations, medication administration, behavioral health workflows, and coordination of Spravato and TMS services. The ideal candidate will support providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities while ensuring excellent patient care and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Prepare patients for appointments, obtain vital signs, and document medical history accurately in the EMR. Administer injections and medications as ordered by the provider and within scope of practice. Monitor patients for adverse reactions following injections or treatments. Assist with medication inventory, storage, and documentation. Monitor and document patient status during and after Spravato treatment sessions according to clinic protocols. Assist with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and documentation. Coordinate laboratory orders, medication refills, and provider communications as directed. Maintain infection control and clinical safety standards. Prior Authorization & Insurance Responsibilities Submit and track prior authorizations for medications, injections, Spravato treatments, TMS therapy, and related services. Communicate with insurance companies regarding approvals, denials, appeals, and eligibility verification. Obtain and maintain required documentation for insurance compliance. Follow up on pending authorizations to reduce treatment delays. Maintain organized records of authorization status and payer communications. Administrative Duties Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups. Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and provide professional customer service. Verify insurance benefits and collect required patient documentation. Assist with intake paperwork and EMR data entry. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Support front desk and general office operations as needed. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. Current CPR certification preferred. Minimum 1 year of medical office or behavioral health experience preferred. Experience administering injections required or preferred. Experience with prior authorizations preferred. Experience with Spravato REMS program and/or TMS coordination preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills Knowledge of psychiatric medications and behavioral health terminology. Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans. Understanding of insurance verification and billing workflows. Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to safely perform clinical duties in an outpatient setting.
