Job Description
Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking an experienced and reliable medical assistant for a moonlighting/weekend Independent Contractor opportunity Newport News, VA. We perform medical disability evaluations and you would be responsible for working with one of our providers, approximately 2x per month on weekends for SSA disability exams, and potentially more days for VA disability exams if interested. We only schedule weekends, and need someone with weekend availability. We see about 10-18 patients/claimants on a given day, usually from 9:00-5:00, and appointments are scheduled about one month in advance. You would need to send us your availability every month, and we would schedule you based on that information. As a medical assistant, you would be responsible for checking in claimants and obtaining vitals. Everyone that comes in needs to have their photo ID checked, as well as height, weight, vision, blood pressure (electronic cuff), and pulse recorded. This only takes about 10 minutes, so you would have a lot of free time in-between appointments to relax and do whatever you need to do. Dominion Medical Consulting would provide all of the necessary materials. When you arrive to your scheduled day, you would locate the supply box on site that will have everything that you need for the day. After finishing for the day, you would be responsible for helping clean the facility as well. After your shift, you would report your hours. Payments are on the 1st of every month, and pay is $25.00 per hour.
