Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant/CMA Minimum of 1 year of experience required. This is a

position requiring availability between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:30 AM- 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23502).

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life of a

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant/CMA- GI:

As a Certified or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant in a Gastro/ Neuro Practice, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vital signs, reconciliation of medication, rooming patients, documentation in patient charts (EHR), observing patients under treatment to identify progress and side effects of medications, etc., communicating with patients', family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions. assisting the provider during the patient's visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in the heart of Norfolk, VA, downtown 23502! Requirements for the

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant/CMA- GI:

Required:

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Required:

Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.

Required:

BLS Required:

Medical Assistant National certification

Required:

Ability to pass a

Background Check and Drug Screen Required:

Must be reliable and a quick learner, and can multitask with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good knowledge of MS Office and Data entry Preferred Qualifications for the
