Full-Time / Part-Time Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and a positive patient experience. The MA performs a variety of patient care duties, assists with examinations and procedures, and supports daily clinic operations in compliance with established policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Must:
  • Be a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Have a valid CPR certificate or BLS certificate
  • Must have hands on experience
  • Provide references
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers during exams and minor procedures Perform injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection Administer medications and immunizations per provider order and protocol Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and properly prepared Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times Administrative Responsibilities Schedule patient MRI/CT appointments Respond to patient inquiries via phone, portal, or in person Process prior authorizations and referrals as assigned Manage medication refills under provider direction Coordinate diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments Assist with chart preparation and record management Submit necessary authorizations for medications Skills and Competencies Patient-centered care and professionalism Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management in a fast-paced environment Adaptability and willingness to learn Must be willing to contribute to the success of the team Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures Work Environment Medical office Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and medical equipment
