Dermatology Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced dermatology practice. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy clinical environment, provides excellent patient care, and supports providers with both clinical and administrative duties. Dermatology experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Room patients efficiently and prepare them for examination Obtain and document patient medical histories, medications, and chief complaints Assist providers with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, etc.) Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms Perform basic clinical tasks such as wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes Educate patients on post-procedure care and skincare regimens Capture and upload clinical photographs when needed

Administrative Duties:

Accurately document visits in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Manage patient flow to maintain an efficient schedule Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription requests Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous experience in dermatology or a high-volume medical office is a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Proficiency with EMR systems

Fast-paced, high patient volume dermatology practice Frequent standing, walking, and assisting during procedures Direct patient interaction throughout the day

Pay:

$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
