Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient care, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assisting healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic or hospital setting, and maintaining compliance with medical protocols. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for their appointments by obtaining vital signs and medical histories. Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage and documentation. IV line placement Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with coding for billing purposes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment. Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care in both outpatient settings and Level I Trauma Centers. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and physiology knowledge is essential. Proficiency in coding for medical billing is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
