$22.05/hour About the Role We are seeking high-quality, experienced Medical Assistants to support the U.S. Navy. This role is ideal for candidates who completed a formal, in-person Medical Assistant program , gained hands-on externship experience , and have since built recent, post-graduation MA experience in a clinical setting. Education (Required) High school diploma or GED AND Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program that meets the following criteria: Program length of 6-12 months or longer In-person instruction required (online-only programs do not qualify) In-person clinical externship completed as part of the program Program must be accredited or approved by the Naval Base

    Candidates who obtained an MA certificate (e.g., NHA) without completing a formal MA education program are not eligible for this role. Experience (Required) Minimum of one (1) full year of Medical Assistant experience within the last three (3) years Experience must be: Completed AFTER graduating from a qualifying MA program Within the last three (3) years (2023

Citizenship required Ability to pass all applicable background and security requirements Additional Requirements Two (2) professional letters of recommendation dated within the last two (2) years (one from a supervisor and one from a peer) Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods and performing all essential duties Requirements Key Responsibilities Medical Assistants support providers and patients in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide care to patients across the lifespan (Pediatrics to Geriatrics) Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits Review provider schedules and proactively prepare charts and documentation Screen patients using clinic-approved questionnaires and protocols Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) including MHS Genesis Perform data entry for population health metrics and preventive care initiatives Assist with administrative duties such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence Participate in daily team huddles and collaborative care planning Support clinic workflow optimization and patient experience initiatives Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant clinical environment Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff as assigned Base Down Days During planned facility closures, employees are paid only for hours worked If unable to work due to closure, leave or LWOP may be required (without penalty) Skills & Attributes for Success Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic healthcare environment Effective time management and multitasking abilities Professional demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care Collaborative, team-oriented mindset Why Join Us?
