Delegation Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain proficiency in laboratory regulations (CLIA) and ensure compliance Ensure laboratory is open and ready to receive specimens at the start of each surgery day. Prepare slides for each case Prepare charts for Mohs cases. Gross, Ink and Embed specimens (as permitted by regulations/training) Process specimens on microtome in cryostat Stain slides with Hematoxylin and Eosin Stain line Coverslip slides Present slides in a timely manner to Mohs Surgeon Document all actions in the Mohs Quality Assurance Log Clean laboratory at end of day, after last case is complete Perform maintenance as outlined in the Mohs Laboratory Manual Retrieve specimen from minor operating room Assign tasks to Mohs Surgical Assistants for patient flow efficacy File glass slides from past cases Order supplies for Mohs Laboratory Interface with referring physicians or coordinated physicians Schedule coordinated appointments between physicians Complete correspondence between coordinated physicians' office Assist with surgical procedures when needed and duties allow
