The RMA II works closely with Radiologic Technologist in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical, non-technical and non-exposure aspects of the exam. The RMA II is responsible for assisting the Technologist, Radiology nurse, and Radiologist in many functions of the department. This includes managing workflow, answering phones, stocking rooms, aiding patients to and from exam rooms and department. The position is responsible for performing various tasks such as scheduling and processing exams, preparing for regulatory and hospital audits, and utilizing the department computer systems (PACS, EPIC, KRONOS etc.). This position will be trained to start IV's in some modalities. The Radiology Medical Assistant II displays advanced skills and knowledge in RMA I duties. This position is responsible for the training of new medical assistants in the department or medical assistants that may have transferred in. EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent. LNA or comparable medical experience preferred. This position requires verification of your high school diploma. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited in for an interview. EXPERIENCE
Previous hospital or health care experience preferred. This is a bargaining union position.
