Medical Assistant New Dawn Psychiatric Care Bellevue, WA Job Details Part-time $23.46 - $26.15 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Urgent care Pediatrics Medical assisting Working with adult populations Psychopharmacology Blood pressure monitors Medical terminology Geriatrics Full Job Description We are looking for a medical assistant to join our team as a hybrid receptionist and medical assistant. Our clerical work does require knowledge of medical terminology and psychiatric pharmacology, as well as experience with high acuity clients. Knowledge of TMS and Spravato treatments is helpful but not required. Ability to use technology is required, as well as attention to detail, time management, and experience scheduling. Administration of Spravato as well as blood pressure monitoring will be required occasionally. Experience taking blood pressure is required, however, experience administering Spravato is not required.
Responsibilities include:
Optimizing patients' satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as needed Assists patients in filling out insurance forms and other patient records Minimizes patients' stress by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining a calm and orderly environment in the reception area Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, scheduling equipment service and repairs, and overseeing the delivery of supplies Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies and solving problems Administration and monitoring of Spravato and TMS treatments as needed
