Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Position Summary:
Care Medical Group in Bellingham, WA is currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic full-time CMA to join our Urgent Care team. Additional experience or certification as an X-Ray Tech is a plus!! Dayshift hours. Work days can vary. Those who are CNAs, EMTs, and phlebotomists are also encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions:
Rooming and discharging patients Collecting patient vitals, medical history, medication usage, and chart information appropriately and accurately within the medical information system Phlebotomy and point of care specimen testing Performing employment physicals and other diagnostic testing DOT Specimen Collection & Evidential Breath Testing (EBT) Administer vaccinations and maintain vaccination recall binder Perform daily calibrations on equipment and maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with the Department of Health Adhere to HIPAA regulations
Non-Essential Functions:
Assist Occupational Medicine Coordinator and Office Manager with medical supply ordering, stocking, and management Support Occupational Medicine Coordinator and Office Manager as required with patient record management, data entry, etc. Assist Reception department with patient intake processes as needed
Skills Required:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism Clear communicator with strong customer service skills and a positive attitude Ability to de-escalate high-tension situations in a calm and caring manner Ability to embrace feedback and be accountable Attention to detail is required in working with patient charts and completing various forms and documents Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible under changing conditions
Immunization Requirements:
(Medical and religious exemptions will be considered and approved if they meet exemption requirements.) Influenza, Hep B, Tdap, MMR, varicella or a positive titer test, PPD, COVID-19, and any additional immunizations determined necessary for the protection of staff and patients. A negative
COVID-19
test may be required prior to start date dependent on recent travel history. Care Medical Group will be financially responsible for COVID, titer testing, influenza vaccination, and PPD screening if needed.
