Apply at Home - WhidbeyHealth - Jobs in Coupeville, WA The Certified Medical Assistant will be accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients and families of all ages according to the individualized needs of the patient. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical staff in providing medical services to patients with provider delegation within scope of practice. Education Minimum High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
Experience Required:
A minimum of one (1) years of experience is required, with previous experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current WA State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certification required. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and performing initial assessments. Support inpatient and outpatient care by managing patient intake processes and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently. Administer medications and perform basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with established protocols and license parameters. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient service while supporting team collaboration in fast-paced settings. $27.89 - $42.76 per hour
