Job Description

Role Summary:
The Medical Assistant best suited for this position should have experience working in a primary care setting and will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the medical provider at the clinic. This person should be comfortable working the front-desk, but may need to split the shift and assist on the clinical side and assisting the provider. Experience with referrals and prescription refills amongst other clinical tasks would be a bonus. Our clinic setting is best supported by staff who are open and willing to be a jack of all trades!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist providers with patient exams and procedures Take and document patient vital signs Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits as needed Manage patient medical records and charting Communicate with patients to explain procedures and answer questions Provide patient education on preventative care and self-management of chronic conditions Use electronic health records (EHR) and other software platforms to document your work Coordinate with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients Maintain a clean and organized work environment Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma High level of comfort using technology Medical Assistant certification Self-starter with very strong time management skills Strong clinical and administrative skills Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Excellent communication and patient service skills Comfortable with using remote-work collaboration tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom etc. Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Compensation:
Minimum $21-25hourly, Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits 5-day work week
