$22.50 - $32.50 hourly
Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA-R/MA-C) supports providers in delivering patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This role is responsible for rooming patients, assisting with procedures, documenting in the medical record, and supporting efficient clinic operations while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document medical history and chief complaints in the electronic medical record Assist providers during examinations and procedures Administer injections, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing within scope of certification Process orders, referrals, and follow-up care as directed by providers Maintain clean, stocked, and prepared exam rooms Communicate effectively with providers and team members to support patient care and clinic workflow Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a compassionate, professional demeanor Ensure compliance with clinic policies and all applicable state and federal regulations Coordinate communication across clinic departments and with external healthcare organizations Participate in staff meetings and required training/education opportunities Meet performance standards and maintain accuracy in all assigned tasks Perform additional duties within the clinic that align with current certifications/licenses
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Current Washington State Medical Assistant - Registered (MA-R) or Certified (MA-C) Current BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office systems
Preferred:
Experience in a medical office or clinical setting Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Pay and Benefit Expectations This position offers competitive hourly pay. This is a part-time position and is not eligible for medical benefits. Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
