Job Description

Full-Time Medical Assistant (Ophthalmology) Clearview Eye and Laser is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing private ophthalmology practice. We are looking for a permanent, full-time team member who is eager to learn, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in building a long-term career in healthcare. Our practice offers a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere with excellent opportunities for professional growth and development. In addition to working alongside our physicians in a busy clinic setting, interested team members may also have opportunities to assist with iLASIK procedures and gain experience in our private ambulatory surgery center. While previous ophthalmology or medical assisting experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Work Locations:
West Seattle, Burien, and Renton Primary Responsibilities Record patient medical history and examination information in the Nextech EMR system Measure visual acuity and perform refractions Obtain intraocular pressure readings using iCare tonometry Administer dilating drops as directed by physicians Perform diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCTs, fundus photography, corneal topography, and other ophthalmic imaging Conduct LipiScan evaluations and perform LipiFlow treatments Obtain IOL measurements and provide pre-operative patient education Process prescription refill requests and respond to patient phone inquiries Obtain informed consent and assist with minor in-office procedures Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis Set up and maintain instruments and equipment according to established procedures Stock and organize exam and procedure rooms Package and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of relevant healthcare experience preferred, but not required Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care Professional, friendly, and positive demeanor Strong teamwork skills and a "can-do" attitude Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency If you're looking for a rewarding career with a supportive team and opportunities for growth, we'd love to hear from you.
