Job Description

Job Summary Remedy Health & Wellness is a fast-growing wellness and Direct Primary Care clinic seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable assisting with both front office responsibilities and clinical patient care. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, team-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent patient care while helping support efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients and ensure timely follow-up scheduling
  • Obtain and document detailed patient health histories
  • Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart rate, and pulse oximetry
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures such as biopsies, sutures, injections, and other clinical procedures
  • Administer injections and assist with treatments within scope of practice and under provider supervision
  • Perform phlebotomy and properly prepare/ship laboratory specimens
  • Collect urine, saliva, and nasal specimens for testing
  • Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patient visits
  • Assist patients with membership questions, payments, and basic billing inquiries
  • Monitor clinic inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Help manage prescription refill requests
  • Triage and prioritize patient phone calls and messages for the provider
  • Assist in maintaining clinic flow and schedule efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Willingness to cross-train in both front office and clinical operations Education & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification required, including one of the following:
  • o CMA
  • o NCMA
  • o CCMA
  • Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience/certification preferred but not required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but not required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong computer and EMR skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all backgrounds
  • Ability to create a welcoming, high-hospitality patient experience
  • Comfortable working in a wellness, preventive, and functional medicine environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask efficiently
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Takes initiative and works to resolve patient concerns before escalating when appropriate
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving clinic environment
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and first aid Schedule
