Responsibilities Obtain and record vital signs accurately for patients prior to examinations Prepare patients for their medical exams, ensuring comfort and readiness Gather and document patient history, medications, and allergies in the electronic charting system Assist clinical staff with routine procedures and maintain a clean, organized exam environment Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinic protocols during patient interactions Required Skills Ability to obtain and record vital signs Experience preparing patients for exams and recording medical histories Proficiency in clinical documentation and charting, preferably with EPIC Strong attention to detail and patient safety Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting Additional Skills & Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is required; candidates with a Medical Assistant-Registered, Phlebotomist, or Hemodialysis Technician certification are not eligible Must have at least 6 months of experience working as an MA-C, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting Current Washington state license or COMPACT license (if applicable) Proof of local residence within 50 miles of Seattle, WA with a valid driver's license Availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Ability to work consistently in the same clinic location without floating between units No weekend or on-call requirements Reliable transportation and ability to commit to a temporary-to-hire position with potential for permanent placement This role offers the chance to develop your clinical skills further while working within a reputable surgical outpatient clinic.
