  • Selkirk Neurology, PLLC Spokane 99202 Our clinical care team consists of two providers soon to be three offering team-based, patient-centered care in a private practice setting who are nationally recognized for their expertise in Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Movement Disorders, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Neurotoxin injections, EMG/NCS testing, EEG testing, and Infusion Therapies.
Salary is DOE.
  • Medical Assistant
  • Our medical assistants play an important role on the patient care team. After a training period, MAs assist with procedures and administering medications, communicate with caregivers, families, and other partners to assure patient needs are met and to support our busy providers. CMA license is required to be a candidate for this position. Primary Duties
  • Rooming patients, collecting patient vital signs, point of care testing, documentation in the electronic medical record (EHR), anticipating the needs of patients and providers, help support our care management enrolled patients, maintaining clinic flow, stocking exam rooms, medical supply ordering, drawing up injections, assisting with procedures and treatments, and communicating with efficiency and diplomacy.
The Medical Assistant works under the clinical direction of the physician and/or ARNP and has a direct reporting relationship to the Clinic Administrator.
  • Certifications/Job Requirements
  • Completion of a nationally accredited medical assistant training program.
REQUIRED
Current Washington State CMA credential (certified medical assistant) from a nationally recognized entity. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of work experience in a medical office setting, including high volume direct patient contact, in both front and back office environments, highly desirable
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EHR) system, preferably AthenaHealth
  • Associates Degree
