Temporary Medical Assistant Provisional Recruiting Spokane, WA Job Details Full-time $21 - $31 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Medical Assistant - Job Summary The Medical Assistant supports providers and clinical staff by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. This role helps maintain patient flow, documents medical information, coordinates care activities, and supports a safe and compliant healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Escort patients to exam and treatment rooms and assist with patient flow. Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medications, and other patient information. Prepare, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care activities. Collect blood specimens and administer injections as trained and authorized. Provide patient education materials and reinforce provider instructions. Document patient care and communicate relevant information to providers. Schedule appointments, tests, procedures, and hospital admissions. Obtain and organize medical records, test results, and diagnostic reports. Assist with prescription processing, prior authorizations, and care coordination. Perform clerical duties including answering phones, filing, faxing, and data entry. Maintain infection control standards, equipment processing, and workplace safety protocols. Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare policies and regulations. Support ongoing quality improvement, professional development, and other duties as assigned.
