Job Description

We are seeking a positive, self-motivated Certified Medical Assistant.
Hours:
M-F, 32-40
hrs per week. Exceptional/Punctual attendance is required as you are a vital part of our Team. Dermatology experience is a plus. Modernizing Medicine (EMA) EHR experience is a plus. Essential Medical Assistant Duties include but are not limited to Rooming patients, document patient history, chief complaint, Rx reconciliation etc. Cleaning and preparing exam rooms Dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments Draw up Kenalog and compound lido/ epi Collect and prepare specimens Autoclave instruments Setting up for and assisting during surgery Calling patients with lab/path results Fill out lab requisition forms Processing Rx refills Prior Authorizations, referrals and returning patient phone calls Backup answering phones, scheduling appointments, and triage clinical phone calls to appropriate staff Faxing, filing, data entry Answer patient questions, giving appropriate medical advice, alternatives or information and document such in patient record Assist in managing office and clinical supplies and retail product inventory Process patient forms and scan into electronic medical record Complete any other duties pertinent to the position as assigned be supervisor Assure patient satisfaction through compassion, professionalism and superior customer service Qualifications and Attributes Active Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant-Certified credential . Collaborative team member with professional maturity Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through clear, concise and considerate written and verbal communication Ability to maintain patience and calm during stressful, busy times Sound judgment, quick learner, adaptable, flexible. Able to focus on details, process work accurately/timely with excellent follow-through Excellent customer service skills and desire to provide high quality customer service to our patients Strong computer skills Ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly without getting flustered or distracted Successful candidates will have prior medical office experience and/or training.
