Job Description

Job Summary Our mission is to help patients improve their life through high quality podiatry care. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional service to our patients. The right candidate will be goal oriented and be aligned with our core values. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a high level of patient care. Perform intake procedures including obtaining medical history, and current medications. Administer medications as directed by physicians and maintain accurate records of medication administration. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information and update medical records. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient service and follow-up care. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and other relevant medical practices. Assist in the preparation of patients for X-rays or other diagnostic tests as required. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the clinic environment. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Experience in podiatry settings is preferred. Knowledge of EHR systems and proficiency in managing electronic documentation. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and intake procedures. Understanding of ICD coding and ability to navigate medical terminology effectively. Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
