Job Description

Join Our Team at DeFatta ENT & Allergy as a Full-Time Medical Assistant! Are you a friendly, self-motivated Medical Assistant ready to make a difference? DeFatta ENT & Allergy is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate individual to join our growing team in Altoona! If you're passionate about patient care, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a collaborative team, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and patient education while ensuring a positive patient experience. Coordinate patient care activities including scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up communication. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, prepare exam rooms, and ensure compliance with infection control and clinic policies.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required (Medical Assistant certification or two-year program is a plus!). At least 1 year of experience in a medical practice (bonus points if you have ENT experience). A go-getter with a positive attitude who's eager to help, learn, and grow within the practice. Ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and keep things moving smoothly in a fast-paced setting. Accuracy is key! You'll need to keep things organized while ensuring patient comfort and care.

Perks & Pay:

Competitive hourly pay, ranging from $21.25 - $22.25 based on experience.
