Job Description

JOB TITLE
Administrative Assistant, Non-exempt
JOB SUMMARY/ RESPONSIBILITIES
The Administrative Assistant is a detailed professional responsible for aiding in the efficient day-to-day operations of the Clinical team for Dr, Edwards and providing full administrative support to the team Surgery Scheduler.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and enter information into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system Aid in scheduling surgeries for Dr Edwards and his team Assist Surgery Scheduler with special projects Work both independently and under specific direction Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED Able to be organized and prioritize work efficiently. High ability to multi-task Present a professional demeanor Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's Know how to manage electronic files Know how to print electronic documents and reports
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Able to read, write and communicate in English Have cognitive skills for math, decision making and excellent communication skills Work in a temperature-controlled environment Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease. Able to lift 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift
