The ideal candidate will assist in the examination, treatment, and follow-up care of patients under the direction of the physician. Experience/Qualifications Medical Assistant graduate or Nursing Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities Rooms patients and obtains vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and allergies. Obtains and documents detailed musculoskeletal history, injury mechanisms, post-operative status, and current symptoms in EPIC as directed by the physician. Retrieves and prepares imaging for provider review, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and CDs through the imaging import process prior to the patient visit. Prepares exam rooms, and supplies; assists the physician during procedures and treatments. Maintains patient comfort and safety, including assisting with transfers and positioning. Educates patients and families on treatment plans, post-procedure care, activity restrictions, and discharge instructions per physician direction. Triage patient phone calls, post-operative concerns, and urgent appointment requests; documents and communicates findings to the physician. Stocks, cleans, and prepares exam rooms and procedure areas according to infection control standards.
