POSITION
Medical Assistant with some Front Desk responsibilities as needed
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Medical Assistant & High School Diploma or
GED SKILLS REQUIRED
Proven ability in establishing rapport with patients, staff and supervisors; excellent grammar and communication skills, cheerful personality, and pleasant manner. Familiarity with medical terms and spelling accuracy, computer proficient, and previous experience working with electronic health records preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. The medical practice is as beautiful, new, primary care office with ancillary testing including electrocardiogram, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, spirometry other tools necessary to operate a primary care practice.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous experience in a medical office, hospital or other medical facility preferred; bilingual a plus (Spanish). The ideal candidate will have experience as both a receptionist and Medical Assistant. Computer fluency and good typing skills
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Front desk triage. Prepare patients for their appointments, take vitals, assist NP and Physicians with patient care as directed, perform testing procedures on patients, liaise with patients and pharmacies on behalf of practitioners, sanitize exam rooms before and after each patient visit, and forward test results to primary physician offices in a timely manner. Call in medications as needed and assist in minor surgical procedures. This is an excellent position to enhance one's skills and learn new responsibilities.
