Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic pathology laboratory team as a Pathology Lab Assistant working the 2nd shift! In this vital role, you will support the accurate processing and analysis of specimens, ensuring high-quality results that are essential for patient diagnosis and care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain efficient laboratory operations, contribute to research initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of laboratory safety and accuracy. Responsibilities Assist with specimen collection, processing, labeling, and storage following strict laboratory protocols Support laboratory technicians and pathologists in preparing samples for analysis using aseptic techniques Perform routine laboratory procedures including centrifugation, slide preparation, and staining under supervision Monitor and record vital signs and physiological data when required for research or patient care purposes Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory activities, specimen logs, and test results Ensure compliance with safety standards by practicing proper aseptic techniques and handling biohazardous materials responsibly Support patient care activities by assisting with specimen collection such as phlebotomy or other sample acquisition methods Qualifications Prior experience in clinical or research laboratories is highly desirable Knowledge of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology fundamentals Experience with specimen collection, processing, and hospital-based procedures such as phlebotomy is preferred Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols including aseptic technique and handling of biological specimens Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping Ability to work efficiently during the 2nd shift hours in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of vital signs measurement and patient care practices is a plus Join us in making a difference through precise laboratory work that impacts patient outcomes! Pay:
