Job Description

RAMC is excited to offer a unique opportunity through our Clinical Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program! As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you'll work side-by-side with experienced care teams while receiving formal training and mentorship—all while being paid to learn.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7 AM-6 PM (Hours could vary) What you'll do: As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you'll provide a blend of clinical, technical, and clerical support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Under the guidance of providers, nurses, and preceptors, you will: Assist with direct patient care across the lifespan—from infants to seniors Support routine procedures, examinations, and documentation Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth patient flow Build strong relationships with patients and families while supporting their psychosocial needs Learn the skills to become a confident, competent Medical Assistant upon program completion
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, and reach as needed Comfortable working in a clinical environment with occasional exposure to odors, cleaning agents, and bodily fluids Function independently while maintaining teamwork and professionalism
