Clinic Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Job Summary The Clinic Clinical Support II provides advanced clinical support in an outpatient clinic setting under the supervision of licensed providers. This role performs a wide variety of patient care tasks, clinical procedures, and administrative functions to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. The position may be filled by a Medical Assistant (CMA preferred), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Essential Functions Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and screening information. Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider evaluation and procedures. Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and assist with laboratory procedures according to established protocols. Administer medications and treatments as directed by providers and within scope of practice. Assist providers with minor procedures using aseptic techniques. Communicate test results and provide patient education under provider supervision. Maintain and operate clinical equipment according to safety standards. Support care coordination by obtaining reports and records, and participating in pre-visit planning. Document care provided in electronic medical record accurately and timely. Collaborate with providers, nurses, and team members to promote quality care and patient satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Proficient in clinical procedures, specimen collection, and basic laboratory processes. Strong knowledge of patient care standards, infection control, and safety guidelines. Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately in urgent situations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team. Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional conduct. Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout shift. Ability to lift, move, or support up to 50 lbs with assistance. Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity required for patient care tasks and equipment operation. Ability to hear, speak, and see clearly to ensure safe patient care. Outpatient clinic setting with direct patient contact. Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and hazardous materials with protective measures provided. Requires strict adherence to safety protocols and infection prevention practices. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, EMT, or LPN program Required Licenses/Certifications Medical Assistant (CMA preferred) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within time frame required by facility policy Experience Prior experience in a clinic or healthcare setting required
