Job Description

While a degree is not required, this role is ideal for a recent college graduate (particularly in psychology or related fields) taking a gap year before graduate school or someone still exploring their path and wanting meaningful, real-world experience in behavioral health. Strong performers may be considered for letters of recommendation for graduate or professional school applications. At MPS, you will receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and meaningful exposure to behavioral healthcare systems and clinical practice. This is not simply a front desk job; You will become part of a collaborative clinical environment and gain firsthand exposure to: Outpatient behavioral healthcare and private practice operations Psychological assessment and psychometric support Referral coordination and intake processes Interdisciplinary collaboration among providers and agencies A broad range of presenting concerns, diagnoses, and treatment approaches Day-to-day operations of an established behavioral health practice Insurance billing, compliance, and private practice management Responsibilities include: Managing referrals and scheduling Answering phones and responding to routine emails professionally and compassionately Processing payments and supporting front office operations Assisting with psychological assessment administration and support activities Maintaining accurate records and supporting data entry in our practice management system (training provided) Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion (HIPAA training provided) Helping create a welcoming and professional client experience We are especially interested in candidates who are: Dependable and exceptionally responsible Mature and professional in public-facing interactions Organized and detail-oriented Personable, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent Conscientious and eager to learn Comfortable with standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar) and able to learn new systems quickly Open-minded, willing to take initiative, & contribute meaningfully to a team Approximately 16 hours/week
Pay:
depending on experience and qualifications Paid Time Off after 90 days Paid holidays Part-time position; medical and retirement benefits not included Opportunity for additional hours based on fit and practice needs Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
