Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Office Support professional to join our healthcare administration team. In this vital role, you will serve as the backbone of our medical office operations, ensuring smooth billing, coding, and record management processes. Responsibilities Assist with medical billing processes, including submission of claims and follow-up on unpaid accounts Perform accurate
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) assignments for diagnoses and procedures Review and update medical records ensuring compliance with coding standards and documentation requirements Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems for data entry and retrieval Support medical collection efforts by contacting insurance companies and patients regarding outstanding balances Maintain organized records of medical documentation, billing information, and coding logs Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding for insurance reimbursements and audits Stay current with updates in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and insurance policies to ensure compliance and accuracy Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare administrative role Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and billing procedures Familiarity with
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding systems, DRG classifications, and related reimbursement processes Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review complex medical information accurately Effective communication skills for liaising with insurance companies, providers, and patients Ability to adapt quickly to new software updates or changes in coding regulations Join us if you're passionate about supporting healthcare operations through precise coding, efficient office support, and a proactive approach! Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
