$ 26 /hour We have a full time, benefited position available, Monday through Friday, day shift. Some of the position responsibilities are as follows: Codes emergency room, outpatient, ambulatory surgery and inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM, CPT and hospital guidelines; Assembles, evaluates and scans medical records; Reviews, analyze, scans and files emergency room, outpatient and inpatient records; processes and distributes admission and discharge data; prepares birth certificates according to hospital and state requirements. Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: Certified Coding Certificate required (we are willing to consider applicants who are currently in school for the Coding Certificate or who have experience in lieu of education); knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding; knowledge of alphabetic and terminal digit filing systems; knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology; High School Diploma or equivalent required; minimum of one year medical billing experience strongly preferred; minimum of one year of office or hospital clerical experience strongly preferred; intermediate computer skills required. Starting wage is $26/hour, plus benefits.
