Responsibilities Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate

ICD-9, ICD-10

diagnosis codes and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) procedure codes. Ensure accurate DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) assignments for hospital billing and reimbursement processes. Maintain compliance with coding guidelines, policies, and regulations to support proper billing and minimize claim denials. Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve coding discrepancies and optimize revenue cycle workflows. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document coding activities and update patient records. Stay current with updates in medical terminology, coding standards, and healthcare regulations through ongoing education. Assist in auditing medical records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to coding standards. Requirements Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent credential from a recognized professional organization. Proven experience in medical coding within a healthcare setting, including familiarity with

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, DRG assignments, and obstetrical/gynecology coding. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with medical records management. Knowledge of medical billing processes, collections, and insurance claim procedures. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation accurately. Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams. Pay:
