In this vital role, you'll leverage your knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures to support healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Accurately assign diagnosis codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to reflect patient conditions and procedures performed Utilize CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications for precise billing of services Review medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with coding standards Submit claims electronically through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring timely processing Follow up on unpaid claims, perform medical collections, and resolve billing discrepancies with insurance companies or patients Maintain detailed records of medical coding activities, updates, and audits for regulatory compliance Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and optimize billing accuracy Requirements Certification as a Medical Coder or Billing Specialist from an accredited organization is Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related office roles within a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
