FULL REMOTE NEAR OSF LOCATION POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Coding Specialist oversees the coordination of accurate and compliant coding and charging to ensure adherence to established current ICD codes andCPT/HCPCS
coding guidelines along with all governmental and third party payers policies. The position ensures coding quality and productivity standards achieved and maintained for all coded data. Specialist serves as coding expert for revenue cycle division and facility departments within OSF HealthCare. In addition the Specialist completes special projects assigned and provides backup to all revenue cycle coding positions. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degreeOther Licenses/Certifications:
CPC, RHIA, RHIT or CCS Experience:
1 year experience in outpatient or inpatient coding.Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachleors Degree Experience:
3 years experience in outpatient or inpatient coding.Other skills/knowledge:
