Description Sierra7 is seeking experienced Part Time Medical Coders to support our growing portfolio of federal healthcare programs, including work with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We are actively hiring across multiple specialties, including Inpatient, Outpatient, and Professional Fee (Profee) Coding. If you have a strong coding background and experience supporting Veteran populations or federal healthcare systems, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities Review and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and
CPT/HCPCS
codes Abstract clinical data from medical records across multiple specialties Ensure compliance with VA, CMS, and federal coding guidelines Maintain required productivity and ≥95% quality standards Utilize systems such as VistA/CPRS and other EHR platforms Participate in audits, education, and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with internal teams and providers to resolve coding discrepancies Requirements Active certification: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA 2+ years medical coding experience (Inpatient, Outpatient, or Profee) Recent VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) coding experience Proficiency in
ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS
Familiarity with VA systems (VistA/CPRS) and federal/CMS guidelines Proven ability to maintain ≥95% quality and meet productivity standards Experience with medical record review/abstraction
