This role is crucial in ensuring accurate coding and efficient billing processes for our anesthesia services. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX. The role requires on-site presence during regular business hours. Key Responsibilities Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures and services Review medical records and anesthesia reports to ensure accurate and compliant coding Submit clean claims to insurance companies and manage the billing cycle Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes affecting anesthesia billing Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other clinical staff to clarify documentation when needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required 2+ years of experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in anesthesia or a related surgical specialty Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems Familiarity with anesthesia billing guidelines and modifiers Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication abilities At OrthoMed, you'll be part of a team dedicated to excellence in patient care.
