May 25 ROLE IMPACT The Senior Multi-Specialty Coder drives accurate reimbursement and regulatory compliance by translating complex physician documentation into precise medical codes. This role supports revenue integrity, reduces claim denials, and ensures adherence to federal and payer guidelines. Success is defined by maintaining high coding accuracy, meeting productivity standards, and strengthening clinical documentation quality across specialties. Key Responsibilities Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes using

ICD-10-CM

(International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification), ICD-10-PCS (Procedure Coding System), and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) guidelines Review and analyze physician documentation to ensure complete and compliant coding Maintain a minimum coding accuracy rate of 95% while meeting productivity benchmarks Abstract and enter required clinical data into electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems Collaborate with providers and internal departments to clarify documentation, resolve discrepancies, and reduce denials Required Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of physician (Professional Fee/Profee) multi-specialty coding experience in at least 3 of the following: General Surgery, Urology, Anesthesia, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Ortho, Podiatry, Gastro, Emergency Coding Active coding certification through AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) or AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) required Specialty Coding Certification Preferred EMR systems including EPIC and Meditech Must have a laptop and dual monitors for remote work Good job stability (minimum of 1 year at previous roles) Strong analytical, research, and communication skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Legal Notice This position requires successful completion of an in-person interview, background check (criminal record, education, and employment verification), drug screen, and clerical testing prior to employment.
