Job Description

Location:
VA Medical Center 4815 N. Assembly St. Spokane, WA 99205
Pay Rate:
$30.00 per hour.

Schedule:
8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 7:30am-4:00pm, not to exceed 40 hours per week.
Indexing Productivity Standards:
15 Administrative documents per hour 10 NVCC/Fee (Non-VA Care) documents per hour 100% self-QA on all indexed records
Medical Coding Requirements:
The Coder is responsible for providing accurate and complete medical coding services in accordance with VA guidelines, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards. The contractor must maintain an overall coding accuracy rate of 95% or above. Coding Productivity Standards (per coder per day): Observation

Pro Fees:
30 per day
Surgery:
7 per day
Prosthetics:
30 per day All coding must comply with the following requirements: Maintain an overall coding accuracy of 95% or above across all record types. Coding shall be performed in accordance with current Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. All diagnoses and procedures must be coded to the highest degree of specificity. Queries to providers, when required, must be completed in a timely and compliant manner. Coders must be credentialed (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent) and demonstrate knowledge of VA-specific coding requirements. #IND1
