Position Overview This role provides physician leadership across neurosurgical services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations, support program growth, and ensure the delivery of high-quality neurosurgical care through standardized protocols and continuous quality improvement. Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of practice
Eligible for and able to obtain medical staff privileges
Leadership & Clinical Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership for neurosurgical and spine services
Collaborate with administration on:
Program development and expansion
OR and equipment planning (microscopes, navigation systems, spine instrumentation, etc.)
Workflow optimization and service line efficiency
Standardization of clinical pathways and protocols
Maintain strong referral relationships with:
Primary care providers
Neurology
Orthopedics and spine specialists
Partner with medical staff to establish and monitor quality and outcome metrics
Identify and address clinical and operational challenges affecting patient care
Core Responsibilities & Skills
Perform a full range of general neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spine cases
Support development of neurosurgery and spine program growth initiatives
Contribute to strategic planning, including short- and long-term service line development
Participate in financial oversight, including:
Case volume growth
Resource utilization
Operational efficiency
Engage in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Assist in development, review, and implementation of clinical policies and protocols
Participate in multidisciplinary committees and service line initiatives
Communicate key clinical and operational priorities to leadership and staff
